FocusSport is proud to offer the new VF-Engineering rear engine mount (previously Z-Engineering). The factory rear engine mount (Right hand engine support insulator) was designed as a soft mount, to provide a comfortable drive. The drawback of such a design is the amount of movement it allows the engine, during torque load on hard acceleration, and compression under negative acceleration. The movement of the engine decreases stability under high performance driving conditions and gear selection.To reduce this movement VF-Engineering engineered a complete replacement fitted with specially shaped molded, high durometer polyurethane inserts. The mount body is machined from billet aircraft grade aluminum, being almost twice as strong than the OE cast material. Fitting should take no more than 10-15 minutes. This high performance mount provides a difference in the stability of the car when accelerating and braking hard. Gear changing under hard acceleration is also enhanced.

Our FocusSport Aluminum flywheels are essential for any Focus enthusiast who desires a faster revving engine. The FocusSport aluminum flywheels, which weigh in at 8.5 lbs. for the MTX75 and 12.5 lbs for the Getrag, are much lighter than the heavy OEM unit that tips the scales at 21.5 lbs. for the MTX75 and 24.5 for the Getrag. What this means to you is that by utilizing a FocusSport aluminum flywheel, you'll have less rotating mass, which directly translates into more useable horsepower. And since our aluminum flywheel are lighter than OEM, it will help extend engine life, due to less stress on your engine's main bearings. Our flywheels are CNC machined from 6061 aluminum and then finished with a CSS (constant surface speed) process that results in a finish that is second to none. We use aerospace screws with self locking nuts to attach the 1050 high carbon steel friction plate to the 6061 slab. We also counter bore the shoulder between the flywheel and the heat treated ring gear, utilizing button-head screws to avoid ring gear slippage. FocusSport aluminum flywheels come in a red anodized finish.

A Quaife automatic torque biasing (ATB) differential enables your car to accelerate quicker and corner faster.How? By getting the power to the ground!The Quaife Differential powers both drive wheels under nearly all conditions, instead of just one. With an ordinary open differential, standard on most cars, a lot of precious power is wasted during wheelspin under acceleration. This happens because the open differential shifts power to the wheel with less grip (along the path of least resistance). The Quaife, however, does just the opposite. It senses which wheel has the better grip, and biases the power to that wheel. It does this smoothly and constantly, and without ever completely removing power from the other wheel.In drag-race style, straight-line acceleration runs, this results in a close to ideal 50/50 power split to both drive wheels, resulting in essentially twice the grip of an ordinary differential (they don't call open diffs "peg legs" for nothing).In cornering, while accelerating out of a turn, the Quaife biases power to the outside wheel, reducing inside-wheel spin. This allows the driver to begin accelerating earlier, exiting the corner at a higher speed.The Quaife also controls loss of traction when the front wheels are on slippery surfaces such as ice and snow or mud, providing the appropriate biased traction needed to overcome these adverse conditions. The Quaife Differential provides constant and infinitely variable drive. An upper-front stress bar is an essential bolt on for all street & competition Ford Focus cars. The bar's rigid design helps to reduce the roll and twist of the front sheet metal frame, and in doing so quickens steering response and improves turn-in. Construction consists of strong 14-gauge mandrel bent heavy wall 7/8" diameter steel tubing. The tubing is then welded to 1/8" laser cut steel mounting plates. Designed specifically around the constraints of US model cars, the bar requires no modification of surrounding components (ie: Brake booster, fuse box, air box) when used in conjunction with the FocusSport Cool-Flo or the stock factory air box.
